Where To Shop
Where's the best places to find great deals, that's the question many first time yard sale shoppers ask themselves. Well there's three types of neighborhoods we'll focus on.
- Lower Income Neighborhoods
- Middle Income Neighborhoods
- Upper Income Neighborhoods
Lower Income Neighborhoods
You can find some great deals in these neighborhoods but don't expect to find those items you can resell and retire on. Most people in these neighborhoods have yard sales so they can make a few bucks.
Middle Income Neighborhoods
In my opinion these neighborhoods are the ones to visit if your looking for great treasures. They mainly have garage sales so they can clean out their unused junk. They also don't mind making a few bucks too. You can usually find better quality higher end merchandise at great prices. If your looking for that hidden treasure worth big bucks, these are the sales to visit.
Upper Income Neighborhoods
What can I say, in these neighborhoods bring your checkbook. You can find some bargains but most items will be priced closer to retail prices. These neighborhoods have some great antiques but expect to pay close to the going rate. These sellers tend to research the items they sell so they know what their items are worth.
